The volume contains studies on towianism and its reception process in Polish culture (until present day) and in other cultures, especially in Italy. It is divided into three parts: the first part discusses towianism as a philosophical and philosophical-religious phenomenon, the second part focuses on the reception of towianism by Towianski’s contemporaries, the third part explores the influence of towianism on post-romanticism generations. The publication consists of twenty articles written by Polish and foreign scholars, who represent different fields of humanities, methodological strategies and scientific sensibilities.
